Released in 1995, the Air Max 95 was the first ever Nike shoe to prominently expose the cushioning Air Max unit in the midsole. Since then, Nike has developed countless ways of updating the fan-favorite silhouette. The women's Air Max 95 'Hyper Violet' features a suede-based upper with a gradient color scheme from Pure Platinum to dark grey, with mesh paneling covering the Hyper Violet lace wires. The low top also sports a padded tongue for comfort and additional Hyper Violet accents on the full-length Air unit in the midsole.
